Washington DC, the capital of the United States, is strategically located between Maryland and Virginia, along
the Potomac River and its Anacostia and Rock Creek tributaries. Three airports serve DC: Ronald Reagan
Washington National Airport, Dulles International, and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) airport. DC
metro provides a direct connection to Reagan National Airport as well as Union Station, with a new line being
built to link Dulles International. Metro trains and bus lines connect all parts of the city and the greater
Washington region, making DC a convenient, walkable city.
